Based on patented technologies since 2005, MobiNear S.A. was founded the 23rd of january 2007. The 31th of january 2007, MobiNear S.A. closed a first round of financing with Business Angels including Henri Seydoux, Philippe Dewost, and Pascal Mercier (cf. Investors section). Management Team
Founder & CEO: Christian CHABRERIE, Ph.D. Christian Chabrerie has more than 15 years of experience in Hardware, Software and Intellectual Property (i.e. IP) Business Development. Before founding MobiNear, he was Independent Strategy Consultant for High-Tech Start-ups. Prior to that, he was European Business Developer for OEM Consumer and Emerging Applications at ARM Ltd. (ARMHY). He did set-up several strategic partnerships with OEMs like Thomson and Wavecom as well as with Mobile Operators like Orange and France Telecom R&D. During his tenure, he very significantly developped business revenues for ARM. Prior to that, he was involved in FPGA business development especially for infrastructure base station applications at Lattice Semiconductor Corp. (LSCC). Prior to that, he has developed a methodology for semiconductor in Space and Military Radiation environment for Thales (HO.PA), formerly Thomson CSF at the french Atomic Energy Agency (CEA). In parallel, he is Professor of Electronic Systems at one of the major french engineering school "École Centrale de Paris" (ECP) and has been honored "Chevalier de l’ordre des Palmes Académiques". He has received a doctorate from the University of Paris 6 (Jussieu University), has an Engineering Degree from ISEP, has a Master of Science from ECP and has a DESS IAE de Paris (MBA level) from the University of Paris 1 (Panthéon Sorbonne University). Co-Founder & CTO: Éric ESTIÈVENART Éric Estièvenart has more than 10 years of experience in Software, Networking, Telecom and Hardware. Before co-founding MobiNear, he was Senior Software Engineer at Peregrine Systems (PRGN) where he developped an expertise in hererogeneous environments, platforms, networks and methods. He contributed on many major development projects, performing deep top-bottom analysis to ensure the best architecture and a comfortable user-experience. Prior to that, he worked as Consultant for R.L. Polk Marketing Systems, a company providing automotive market data and analysis to its customers, where he developped database specific products for companies like PSA, Valeo and others. He did his engineering studies at the major french engineering school "École Centrale de Paris" (ECP99). As a student he was involved in the first development teams of the VideoLAN project now distributed under GNU/GPL licence and known as the VLC Media Player. Co-Founder & CFO: Olivier VALLÉE, CFA Olivier Vallée has more than 15 years of experience in High-Tech Finance. Before co-founding MobiNear, he was Independent Investment Consultant for Companies like Societe Générale Asset Management, Axa Investment Managers, BNP-Paribas Asset Management, etc. Prior to that, he was Senior Analyst – Technology at Hambrecht & Quist Euromarkets. Prior to that, he was Head of Technology at Sogeposte - Caisse des Dépots (i.e. CDC). Prior to that, he was with Decalog Engineering and Consulting. He has received international certifications from Société Française des Analystes Financiers (SFAF in France), Financial Services Authority (UK), Nasdaq SS7 (US). He has received a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) in 2000. He has an MBA from "École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées" (ENPC) in Paris and has a BSc Physics from the University of California. |
